MISS PRIYA - COMPANY DIRECTOR

Miss Priya is the face of Black Cat Theatre and teaches the majority of classes at BCT. She also choreographs all of the youth shows and produces all shows for BCT. .

MR KANE - DRAMA TEACHER

Kane is an Actor & Musician who has performed in the Illawarra since taking up drama classes at age 8. He recently completed a Diploma of Stage and Screen Performance at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2023, learning from tutors such as Les Chantery, Philip Quast, Michael Sheasby, and more. He is thrilled to be back teaching again after studying.

MISS KATYA - TAP TEACHER

With over fifteen years of competitive dance experience, Katya brings a deep love and technical understanding of tap to every class. She completed the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus with high grades, showcasing her commitment to excellence and precision. Katya has 3 years experience as a dance teacher, sharing her knowledge, helping students build confidence, skill, and musicality. She is thrilled to be joining the Black Cat Theatre team and looks forward to inspiring a new generation of dancers with her passion for tap.

MISS LILY - DIRECTOR

Lily Savelli is a musician, actor and music/drama teacher, having completed her Advanced Diploma in Music Industry (Performance) at Ultimo TAFE in 2023. She previously completed a Certificate IV in 2020 and a Diploma in 2021 at Wollongong TAFE. They have played cricket for 12 years, representing NSW, Greater Illawarra, Illawarra and local teams such as Keira and St George Sutherland Slayers. Their previous notable theatre credits include Audrey in Little Shop Of Horrors with BCT, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Snow White in Snow White, with RTC, #11 in The Wolves, Vanden/Ensemble in American Psycho, and Nora/Ensemble in The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, with RA.

Lily recently discovered a major passion for being on the other side of the table too, having directed BCT’s Finding Nemo Jr last year. They visited the directors chair again earlier this year for RTC’s ‘Romeo + Juliet’ and are thrilled to be joining the BCT junior program again directing Moana Jr!

MISS JOCELYN - MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Jocelyn began dance training at the age of 2 and has been inseparable from the stage ever since. She graduated from Woonona High School in 2021 and went on to study her Diploma of Musical Theatre at Brent Street in 2022. Her most recent stage credits include Chicago, Mamma Mia! And Shrek with TPAC/CST, Sweet Charity and Big Fish with ATG, Annie and Jesus Christ Superstar with SoPopera, Ella in Cinderella with WRT and Mayzie La Bird in Seussical with EMS. She also assisted the production team of Woonona High School’s Addams Family in 2024. Jocelyn is thrilled to make her official production team debut as “Musical Director” of BCT’s 2025 production of Moana JR.
